Ruby Olive Foulk was the developer of a respelled, regularized version of English. She attended Campbell College, where she graduated in 1909 with an A. B. degree, and the University of Kansas, where she received her A. M. in 1916. She became a Fellow of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Chicago (having that position at least in the 1919-20 academic year).
